This Is How I Win
Hello! It’s been a while! I’m sorry!
So where are we now? Well, I’m officially two weeks into my 18-week training plan. How’s it going you ask?
Currently, Sunday is set as my day for long runs. I would like to point out that I ran 8.5 miles this morning without barfing after eating Trash Can Nachos at Guy Fieri’s new restaurant last night. See? You can have it all! I also saw Uncut Gems before the nachos, which I have been unable to get out of my head.
Overall, training is ok! I mean, it’s still very early but it’s nice to have a set schedule to stick to. One of the hardest parts has been just having to go to the gym. The only real exercise I’ve done over the past few years has been running and as a result, my core strength is…not great. Please don’t challenge me to a push-up contest. I’ll have to work on that.
But hey, there’s a reason I’m doing all this. And it’s not to be the best at exercising. I’ll admit I had a minor freak out when I realized I agreed to raise $10K for Dana-Farber, but wow, you all helped squash those fears. It’s not even 2020 yet and I’m over halfway to the goal. There’s still much work to be done, so your support is much appreciated. I am so thankful for anything you can do to help spread the word!
New shoes really do make a difference! I think I’m officially a Brooks Adrenaline guy now. Brooks, if you want to sponsor me, hit me up. It’s not selling out when I do it. It’s good, actually.
I also bought something called a muscle scraper…sounds a bit terrifying. Stay tuned to see how that works out for me.
It’s the end of the year! 2020 really sounds like the future, although I feel I say that every year. As usual, I’ve made a playlist of my favorite songs/albums of the year. Check it out, won’t you?
Thanks again, I hope everyone is enjoying their week between. I’ll be back quicker next time. If you have any questions or if there’s something you’d like featured, just let me know!
